M 8 or "mate",an old small letter m with some chipped and worn paint,it's paired with a vintage foundry number 8,made from plywood and was designed to mould metal numbers.
They could be hung up with pins,the 8 doesn't have screw holes but is light enough to rest on a pin or lean on a shelf.
Approximately 50mm high (M),the 8 is 105mm high,both pieces are old with surface wear.
